Professor Sweetgrass Moonshine has worked with plants since she was an eight year-old girl on Peaks Island, picking and arranging wildflowers for the tables at an island restaurant. Since then, she’s harvested cucumbers, labored in George Bush’s Kennebunkport flower gardens, tended office plants for lawyers, built a huge vegetable garden for a wacky millionaire and worked on various farms, caring for alpacas, goats and calves. For the last decade, she’s been immersed deep in the study of magical herbs and flowers, specializing in medicinal cannabis for the last six years. When she’s not farming, she loves writing songs, playing guitar and singing in a 20-member hospice choir.
