CAROLYN CHUTE FOR SENATE!!
So it’s official, at tomorrow’s convention of the Maine Writers Party, I’m gonna endorse and throw my support behind the only real Mainer who I think could make a difference representing us down in Washington D.C.
I’m tired of all the money in politics and I’m tired of people defending money in politics. So we in Maine have the opportunity to change that. We have someone in our midst that’s electable and intelligent, dare I say brilliant, who knows the plight of the working class and is not in the pocket of banks, big business or government. We have someone with the name recognition, the spirit and the integrity capable of winning a real grassroots campaign and making a true difference in Washington.
The status quo of electing one percenters and their ilk to the Congress and Senate has resulted in our current mess. We need real change. And there’s a woman, living here in western Maine, powerful and smart enough to lead that charge.
I believe Carolyn Chute would make an excellent U.S. Senator. She’s intelligent, articulate, generous and kind. She has true insight into the human condition that only comes via introspection coupled with a real compassion for those in suffering. She’s a great communicator, a deep thinker, a self-made success and totally popular with the masses. And, unlike so many other outsider candidates, she’s totally electable. And she won’t have to buy the election, like other celebrity or vanity candidates. (i.e. Angus King.)
She’s electable because she appeals to many disparate groups. Both First and Second Amendment supporters. She’s beloved by back-to-landers, homesteaders, pot growers, school teachers, literary critics and people who don’t even read.
She would speak to power. And make power listen. She’d hold a mic check in the Senate chambers so that The People could be heard. She’d occupy the Capitol with her high spirit and wonderful wry humor.
So on behalf of the Maine Writers Party, I nominate Carolyn Chute to be the next senator from our great state.
