In Aug. 2024, I wrote about Billy Bob Faulkingham breaking state law by bringing a kid out to haul with him. Then I filed a complaint with Maine Dept. of Labor.
Any doubts about my status as a "landlubber" have now been put to rest.
If I was on Jeopardy and needed to define the term "pot warp" in order to win the jackpot, my response would have been "What happens when you take a piping hot pan off the stove and dunk it into a sink filled with cold water?". Similar to touching a hot stove, it's a lesson you learn after doing it one time!!
It would have been nice if Bubba Faulkingham was "on the hook" (see what I did there?) for the full $6136.00, but $3468.00 is better than nothing, especially if you thought the DOL simply ignored your complaint.
What would be interesting is if the person/people at the DOL responsible for dropping Faulkingham's fine by $2668.00 are in the same social groups as the people at Portland City Hall that rented the Portland Expo to TP-USA!!
